Grilled Cheese, Please!

Today I am sharing one of my latest crochet creations.

This one comes from the book “Crochet Café” by Lauren Espy. When I first started to read patterns (6 months ago) an Instagram friend recommended Lauren Espy’s two books “Whimsical Stitches” and “Crochet Café” to get me started.  I too would recommend these books for people wanting to start reading crochet patterns – they are full of pictures, and explanations of abbreviations and stitches.

I cannot share the pattern since it isn’t mine to share, but I can give the book with the pattern a five-star recommendation and show you the final product!

I think these sandwiches would make a great toy for small children.  They are soft, washable if need be, and a great addition to any play kitchen set. Plus, they could be a good way to illustrate fractions to students!

The patterns in the book call for cute eyes to be added, but I left them off and still love the result.
