I re-launched this blog this year. It was originally started back in 2014 and to be perfectly honest, it was not very popular, terribly well organized, or particularly helpful to anyone.
When I relaunched in January, I decided I wanted to focus on my hobbies (cooking/baking, crafting, gardening, crocheting, photography, etc.). I figured they would be something I could passionately talk about, and share tips, tricks, and recipes that others might find fun or beneficial.
I will say the viewership has vastly improved over my last blogging attempt, but the engagement hasn’t been what I had hoped for. Which leads me to the purpose of today’s post.
I need your input on how you think I could/should improve this blog.
Blogging experts say you need to be super niched down (like if you want to write about camping you should write about winter camping in the national parks), but I truly am a renaissance Texan…I am a jack of all trades.
You’ve probably heard the quote before:
“A jack of all trades is a master of none,”
But did you know that wasn’t the full quote? Benjamin Franklin went on to finish by saying:
“though oftentimes better than a master of one.”
I would appreciate your input in the survey below to help me figure out what you have enjoyed about the format of the blog this year, and what tips and suggestions you have on what I could do to make it better in 2022.
I appreciate your time and have kept the survey short (just six multiple choice questions).
Thank you for your help. I wish each of you a very merry Christmas!
