My two blackberry bushes produced about a quart of berries this year. That wasn’t enough for a tasty blackberry cobbler but it was enough for this super easy (only four ingredient), and delicious, mixed berry dump cake!
This is a very summer dessert. The fresh berries are great for this time of the year. This dessert is also a great addition to any Fourth of July cookout or get-together!
4 Ingredient Berry Dump Cake
Ingredients:
– Fresh Berries (I used homegrown blackberries, the remainder of the blueberries from my picking adventure, and some store-bought strawberries that I cut into quarters) – you need enough berries to fill the bottom of a 9 X 13” pan
-1 Box White Cake Mix
-1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
-1 ½ Sticks of Butter (3/4 C)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Wash your fresh berries.
If you are using strawberries, cut the big ones in quarters, and the smaller ones in half after removing their stems/leaves.
Pour your berries into the bottom of a 9 X 13” baking pan.
Over the berries, sprinkle the dry cake mix from a box of White Cake mix.
Over the cake mix, evenly sprinkle the brown sugar.
Cut the one and a half sticks of butter into small pats, then place them evenly on top of the brown sugar.
Put the pan into the oven and bake for 45 minutes.
When the time is up, carefully remove the pan and set it aside to cool a little.

It is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla (Blue Bell) ice cream beside it.
This look so delicious! And what a great idea of how to use little bits of fruits that aren’t enough to use on their own.
